1. Clean and dry all glass surfaces before painting.2. Remove any plastic liners from the lids of the canister set. Set aside.
3. Paint lids Hydrangea. Apply a second coat if necessary, to cover the glass and let it dry completely.
4. Transfer the star fish patterns to the lids.
5. Basecoat the star fish with Warm White. Let dry.
6. Load the #10 flat brush with Clear Medium. Dip one corner of the brush into Burnt Sienna. With the Burnt Sienna side of the brush to the outside edge of the star, shade the entire star.
7. Use a toothpick, dipped in Burnt Sienna, to make the darkest dots on the outside edge of the star fish.
8. Add small amounts of Warm White to the Burnt Sienna, using each color to add dots to the star fish. Set lids aside.
Large Canister
1. Paint water about 1 ˝” up from the bottom of the canister in Hydrangea. Apply a second coat, if necessary, to cover the glass. Let dry.
2. Slip sailboat pattern inside canister or transfer pattern, if necessary. Paint sailboat as shown, shading the same as the star fish.
Medium Canister
1. Paint sand about 1” up from the bottom of the canister in Warm White. Apply a second coat, if necessary, to cover the glass. Let dry.
2. Slip the sandcastle pattern inside the canister, or transfer the pattern, if necessary. Paint the sandcastle in Warm White. Shade with Burnt Sienna.
3. Dip the stencil brush into Burnt Sienna; flick the paint on the sand as shown.
Small canister
1. Paint water about 2 ˝” up from the bottom of the canister in Hydrangea. Apply second coat, if necessary, to cover the glass. Let dry.
2. Transfer goldfish pattern. Paint goldfish with Pure Orange mixed with a little Warm White. Shade with Pure Orange.
3. Add eyes, and air bubbles with the handle end of the paint brush in Warm White.
Bake all pieces by following the manufacturer’s instructions on the paint label.
