How can I create a color washed effect on a wall of a piece of furniture?
 
  Mix Neutral Glaze and Decorator Glaze, using in a 1:1 ratio, or 2:1 for a lighter color. If you want to create a thinner, more transparent wash of color, add 1 teaspoon of water to 4-6 oz. of glaze mix.
 

 Option 1: Dampen the sponge and squeeze out excess water. Dip sponge in glaze mixture. Pull and rub the sponge over the surface, smoothing the color as you apply it.
 

 Option 2: Dip the tips of the French Brush into glaze mixture. Brush the glaze over the surface using long, smooth strokes to even out the color. Use a damp cloth to wipe glaze buildup from the brush bristles.
