We're celebrating the birthday of FolkArt paint!

The first bottle of FolkArt paint was manufactured in 1983. Since then many things have changed, but FolkArt continues to make the same great paint--with all new colors, of course!

  • Sally K. Ride is the first woman in space.
  • Madonna makes her debut.
  • The final episode of M.A.S.H. aired with more than 125 million viewers tuned in to watch.
  • The "Just Say No" anti-drug campaign debuts.
  • Vanessa Williams becomes first African-American Miss America.
  • "Fraggle Rock" debuts on HBO and on the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation.
  • Camcorders are introduced.
